Derek grew up on the North Shore of Oahu with the best shave ice in the world! He brought authentic Hawaiian shave ice to his new home in Utah to share the legacy of Auntie Lani. The "shave ice" (as it's referred to by the locals in Hawaii) have a fluffier ice, bigger portions, and offer a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bottom. (You don't know how really good that is until you've had it.)

We've also worked hard to recreate the ambiance of Auntie Lani's shack on the beach with its simpleness, localness, and friendliness. We want you to feel like you're in Old Hawaii enjoying the most delicious shave ice on the beach with Auntie and her 'ohana.

What makes our shave ice better?

Hawaiian Style Shave Ice has the best shave ice on the "mainland" because we have the best shavers, best ice, best flavors, and have ice cream in the bottom. We use block ice shavers which produce finer, softer, and fluffier ice shavings.

We have a great selection of island fruit flavors (Melona, Mango Delight, Pineapple, Coconut), some distinctly local flavors (Li Hing Mui, Lychee, Blue Hawaii) and some traditional flavors too (Tigers Blood, Blue Raspberry, Peach). Our more than 20 flavors are all made with Pure Cane Sugar.

One of our favorite things about the shave ice sold in Hawaii is the scoop of vanilla ice cream in the bottom. It's a sweet surprise at the end of a great treat! We love to slush the last bit of ice, flavoring, and ice cream together-it really hits the spot! If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out.
